Taylor
Taylor Swift, the rarest pop star, is one who was able to transcend between the genres of country and mainstream culture, and has become an icon of the world of pop. She also conquered every continent in the process. Swift left her country roots like they were a second skin revealing that she was arguably the smartest popular singer/songwriter in her generation one who could harness the current zeitgeist and make it personal and also perform opposite. The first songs she released like the Neotribute for Tim McGraw were a testament to her talents. But, her follow-up album Fearless of 2008 proved to be the songwriter finding her voice and a wider public. The album was hugely successful and not just in the US and six of the singles have been declared platinum, on top of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and Belong with Me. But it also smashed records across the globe. Swift soared to the top of stardom after the release of Speak Now. With her subsequent three albums, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017) Reputation (2017), the popularity of Swift grew, and she found herself in the world of pop music where it was clear that she was a part of. However, even when she reduced her strategy with 2020's stripped down siblings' folklore and Evermore she continued to be atop of the charts, a place she kept with the re-recordings of her back catalog along with Midnights which was her top-charting synthesizer 2022 collection.
