Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin is a Canadian and New Zealand actress. She was born in Winnipeg and was raised in Wellington Paquin began her acting debut in the role of Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she was awarded the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress aged 11 years old, which makes her the second youngest winner to win an award within Oscar history. She won the role of Flora McGrath the daughter of the mute Scottish pianist who, in the late 19th century relocates into New Zealand for an arranged wedding after she accepted an audition for open casting; she was nine years old and had almost no prior experience in acting. In her teens her family relocated to the United States. Paquin was the main character in the film Fly Away Home in 1996 as well as a brief appearance in the film as Jane Eyre in the film when she was still a toddler. Paquin had a small role in the TV film of 1997 adaption to Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding. Also, she played Princess of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (2007). She played teenagers as teenagers in Hurlyburly (1998) She's All That (1999) and A Walk on the Moon (1999) and played the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
