Lars Mikkelsen-3-1024x657Lars Dittmann Mikkelsen, born 6 May 1964, is a Danish actor. He is an actor from Denmark. He has played Troels Hartmann the Copenhagen's mayoral candidate in The Killing. [1] Charles Augustus Magnussen was the third season of Sherlock. Viktor Petrov, the Russian president, was also portrayed in the American House of Cards. Star Wars Rebels featured Grand Admiral Thrawn as Thrawn. He was given the Reumert Prize of Honour in the year 2011. At 27 years old, he entered the National Theatre School of Denmark. He graduated from the institution in 1995. Alongside his appearance in the drama series that was released worldwide as The Killing,[1] he subsequently appeared in two more internationally well-known Danish dramas, Those Who Kill and Borgen III. He also had a prominent part in an episode of BBC drama Sherlock as the blackmailer Charles Augustus Magnussen.In the American TV series House of Cards, he played the role of President Russia. In 2018, he was awarded an International Emmy Award for his character in the Danish television drama Herrensveje. The show aired in the UK as Ride Upon the Storm in the year 2019.
