Maria Brink
Maria Brink (born December 18 1977) is an American singer and songwriter, popular as the lead singer of the metal group In This Moment. The band has released seven albums and received four nominations at the Alternative Press Music Awards. Additionally, Brink was named "Rock Goddess of the Year" and "Hottest Chick" in Metal in the fifth (2013) and fifth (2015) Annual Loudwire Music Awards. She is also one of the eleven women from heavy rock who are important to Yell! Revolver Magazine recognized Brink as one of the Top 25 Hot Chicks In Hard Rock & Metal in 2012 and Pulse in Albany, New York. When she turned 25 years old, she moved to California. old when she left for Los Angeles to search for an opportunity to join a band. She worked in stores, sang in bars and also was a singer in coffee shops. On an audition, Brink was introduced to Chris Howorth in 2004. Howorth initially was hesitant to hire Brink as a singer due to the fact that she was female. After a few days, Howorth apologized and hired Brink as a singer. They formed the group Dying Star with drummer Jeff Fabb .They were later joined by guitarist Blake Bunzel and bassist Josh Newell. After a while, the group changed their name to In This Moment
